Question Best place for runes on armour?

Hey my warrier has 15k fow helm 15k glads body 15k glads legs 15k ascalon boots and 15k glads gloves.

so.. where is best for each rune?

but i was wondering....
if i put sup absorb on my body then would that be any better? because i get hit more often on body?

It shouldn't matter.

The only time that it does matter is when you put something on your helm and then switch your helm =/

It doesn't matter except for absorbotion, heres a chart to help

12.5% chance of attacks hitting your head
12.5% chance of attacks hitting your feet
12.5% chance of attacks hitting your arms
25.0% chance of attacks hitting your legs
37.5% chance of attacks hitting your chest

That -3 damage is from your Ascalon armor. It is not the same as an absorption rune. But from a recent update, that -3 damage from Ascalon and Knight's armor is no longer global, so that damage reduction only matters if you're hit in the feet area.

All runes have global effects. It doesn't matter on what piece of armor you put a rune on; as long as that armor is equipped, the rune's effect is active. Superior absorption will provide damage reduction no matter which body location you are hit on, and no matter which piece of armor it is attached to.

Correction, since the update absorbtion runes are not global, it does matter

I thought that abs runes were global and it was the armour that wasn't. Where does it say that the runes are no longer global ?

Only Knight's and Ascalon armor bonuses were made non-global. Absorption runes still are global; the only change they had were to affect physical damage only, not all damage.

Check here for update information.

No, I'm pretty sure that they are still global.

I put vigor on my leg part cuz u wanna have endurance there .

Everywhere else i put runes on where it seems like itll help most in a typical rpg setting. for example

War
head: tactics for wisdom to think
Body: Absorp to take more blows
Arms: Weapon rune to improve skill
Leg: Vigor to help u last..............
Boots: Strength to allow u to hike thru the treacherous terrain

Yeah i overthink it.

Head: Weapon Rune
Body: Vigor Rune
Legs: Abs Rune
Hands: Strength Rune
Feet: Tactics Rune

I wouldn't put a Weapon Rune on you arms because you could put it on a +1 attribute helmet and switch when needed.

@sm2006: Abs is global. It does not matter where it is put.

I put weapon rune on my helm then can switch out if I`m going sword-axe-runner. The rest doesn`t matter.

I always put my Vigor and Absorption runes on the body and legs because these are the most expensive pieces of armor. My other armor parts are interchangable depending on build. As for skill runes it really depends on your build. For my Ele I use the gloves for each element (I always have super energy storage on head). For my war I have different helms set for each weapon, strength or tactics build. For My monk the headpiece is also the one I vary the most. There are so many different builds to use that there is never one place to always put your runes. But in general I think the price of the different pieces of armor would suggest where to put the runes that you will have on for EVERY build you choose to use.

Absorb runes have always been global and they still are. Looks like it's true what people say about the reason why trader doesn't have any of those in stock anymore

I usually have 2-3 headpieces, with according superior attribute rune. Rest of the runes are.. doesn't matter. I usually plant sup vigor in legs or chest, rest slots with minors.
